Being Blessed with the Blessing of God
Episode #489
April 17, 2016
With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow
Special Guest: Carole Nelson
This is the continuation of a series of Podcasts started in Episode #483.
(Martha) There’s one thing I didn’t include in the Message of the Month, so I’ll give it here on the podcast. And I just saw it when my eyes were opened to it this morning. I don’t believe they’ve ever been opened to it really before. Melchizedek blessed Abram. He said, “Blessed be Abram of God, Most High, Possessor of Heavens and earth.” He’s evoking… He’s the priest of the Most High. He’s pronouncing the Most High’s blessing on Abram, and that blessing… I’ve kinda done some research on it, but it means to bestow goodness and favor, to invoke such qualities upon another. It’s to bless prosperity, to give prosperity. Mother Basilea wrote a booklet. We’ve carried it a long time; The Blessing of the Priesthood?
(J) Yeah, it’s still included when you purchase The Royal Priesthood series. We give you The Royal Priesthood. It’s called The Royal Priesthood booklet by Mother Basilea.
(M) And in the booklet, it’s very short, it really calls you to give blessings away. I used to carry it with me. I need to start doing that again. The first point she makes is it takes authority to invoke a blessing, and that if you’re unworthy or if you are out of favor with God, you cannot give a blessing. And I would say, I believe this is a Proverb that says, “He who blesses loudly in the morning, it shall be considered a curse.” So, there’s some blessings that sometimes people give that are actually motivated by desire to curse. They’re not a blessing at all. But one who is right with God, under His authority, has the authority to invoke a blessing. And so this man, Melchizedek, blessed Abram. Now, was Abram blessed by that blessing? Oh my, yes; his children, his flocks, his wealth, his destiny followed that blessing. And I never saw that before. Then Melchizedek blessed God. And to bless God is gratitude and worship. He turned, and he said, “Blessed be God, Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” It was a gratitude, a worship, a blessing. “God, bless You for doing that.” So, the ministry of Melchizedek was the wine and the bread, the Blood and Body of Christ. And it was the blessing that comes from that Blood and that Life. It’s huge. The Melchizedek blessing is huge. And that’s essentially what the blessing of Christ… We are blessed by His Priesthood. He came into the Priesthood and into the Kingship. He was the Son, but He came into those offices, and so He has the authority. And as we have the priestly office by coming under that and being willing to function in that, we have the authority to bless. And we could go through a train station and be blessing people, and they will be changed without ever knowing why. But to possess that authority, you have to be the vessel of Christ, who has the authority to do that. The blessing God gave to Abraham was, “You will be blessed.” That means in every way; prosperity, personal, so forth. “And I will multiply you.” So the blessing is multiplied on down to me today and to you. God’s blessing on Abraham – I am grafted to the root of Abraham. And so, the blessing of God comes down to me. I am a blessed being. If I come under that new relationship of God’s child, I will multiply and it will happen spontaneously for me and to me and to you and for you. So, in the Name of Jesus, the great High Priest, I just, we just together, the three of us, John and Carole and I pronounce a blessing on all of those who listen and comment and who encourage us and who are willing to listen to us and learn about God and from God. So, we just bless you in Jesus’ Name in all aspects of your life; spiritual, physical, mental and in prosperity.
(J) What this reminds me of, Martha, is the seed. And you talk about how when God created, ever since that original creation, the seed for whatever – apple seeds – all that blessing comes from “God created,” the creation. And so those seeds have been continually blessing, multiplying and blessing ever since. That spoken Word of, “and God created,” blah, blah, blah, whatever, which, you know, the fish, the plants and everything. All that seed is all we’re seeing that. Even in our fallen world, we’re still seeing the seed, the life’s seed coming forth. And the multiplication of blessing is phenomenal. So, and you remember when we were in Israel, we were on the water, and we were talking about blessing. And we were saying that literally Christ’s blessing, it’s still blessed to this day. And His curses are still cursed. Do you remember when we went into Bethsaida and it is still, literally, as He said, “No more, Corazin, you didn’t listen to Me? You didn’t want to listen to Me? No problem. Whooooooh!” And it’s a rubble pile to this very day. So, His blessing and His curses still go on. And now He, as I let Him live His life through me, as His will comes through His life comes through me, that multiplication, that blessing… This is why blessing is so beneficial. You, as a vessel of Christ, as one who Christ indwells, one whose actual life, His physical life in the heavens, and now your life is Christ’s, as Galations 2:20 says. Now, His blessing that can come forth from you, can bless the world. That’s what we’re here for, to increase the Kingdom.
(Martha) And literally change the world, just simply by blessing. I believe that so strongly, that there are certain people in public that I’ll pass and say, “God bless you.” They don’t ever hear me. They don’t know it’s been spoken.
(J) I bless all the time when we’re driving by and bless the cops.
(Martha) Yes, you do. You have a very cop ministry.
(J) I do have a cop ministry. I’m blessing them all.
(Martha) There was this one murdered today, shot today.
(J) And how do I know that the blessing of Christ on those doesn’t protect them? We’re at a meeting right now where a lady literally, she’s blessing, and healing is coming out of her blessing.
(Martha) Umhmm.
(J) Isn’t that what she’s doing? She’s essentially blessing. Yeah. She’s got a healing ministry, but it’s not a focus on that. It’s a focus on Him.
(Martha) On Christ, totally Christ centered. And so, she’s bringing forth all that He is, and all that He blesses. Ummm.
(J) This is the Aaronic, Aaronic, how do you say it?
(Martha) Aaronic.
(J) Aaronic? Aaron, I know it is, but it always sounds like ironic…hahaha. Here’s the Jewish blessing from Aaron. “The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord life up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” The King of Peace, who has us enter the rest, and the rest is His life. God Bless you all.
Bless you all and thank you!

Thank you so much and I receive the blessing. I am encouraged by your podcasts and I bless you all also.
All I can say is “wow” Thank you and I receive the blessing!
As I listened to this, this is what I saw:
Godly blessing toward man is just this: fullness, the fullness of Christ.
If men are to bless God, it must come out from this fullness; indeed, it is the overflow of His fullness which empowers us to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
Christ alone is Holy; and only that which is Holy (that which comes from God, not originating in man) is acceptable to God.
“…God bless you all”
And God bless you all! Lord, keep on increasing the knowledge and glory of your Son through this “ministry at your feet”. Bless them all who hear You through them, so that “Christ might be one in them all”.
Amen and amen.
“You, as a vessel of Christ, as one who Christ indwells, one whose actual life, His physical life in the heavens, and now your life is Christ’s, as Galations 2:20 says. Now, His blessing that can come forth from you, can bless the world. That’s what we’re here for, to increase the Kingdom.” These words comprise a magnificent blessing which I receive and will use to bless others, starting with all of you at Shulamite Ministry. Thank you.
OH Martha, you have taught me so much about blessing……through your actual blessings and your stories because you trust in God and HIS word to you. I also want to thank you and bless you for your willingness to correct those that God loves, that don’t hear HIS voice. Bless you for these podcast that encourage us to take our position of priests and give God’s favor on those HE directs. Oh the blogs and podcasts give me such joy, hope in Christ in me, and big time encouragement. BLESSINGS ON YOU ALL!!!!!!!
