Believe It and Live for It
Episode #749
4/11/2021

With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow

This the continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #748
We must believe we are destined, chosen and being formed to rule and reign the earth.

Martha:
So by [going through] death He might bring to nought…

To nothing, powerless. He marched Satan and the principalities across the heavens in victory and He left Satan here for a reason. And I tell it in the book. I’ll tell you the reason. I saw it recently.

When Cain wanted to murder Abel. Abel brought blood. Jesus’ blood is the symbol. And Cain brought his hard work in the fields. And God didn’t like Cain’s and He accepted Abel’s. And Cain was what? Jealous and furious. And the Lord said to him, Father said to him, “Why are you so angry? Why has your face fallen? You can still be accepted if you do what is good.” What is good is what God says. And then He said this statement:

Sin is crouching at your door. It wants to have you but you must master it.

Actually, it should read this way:

The beast is crouching at your door in great desire, fanatical desire to have you but you must master, control, rule over him.

And that’s our life agenda. I don’t like it, do you? Why on earth? That’s such a peculiar thing. Because His plan for our eternity is so incredible that we have to be trained to be in that to believe it and to live for it. And it is this: you and I are destined, chosen and being formed to rule and reign the earth. Daniel said it. Daniel saw it.

The kingdom of God will be turned over to the people of God.

And that kingdom will never be defeated. And we’ve got to become overcomers and that is our adventure. I was telling somebody yesterday, “Ok, we were built for adventure. We were created to need that because we are on an adventure. And he said, “I’d like a little less adventure.” And I said, “Me, too! But it’s worth everything.”

So that little episode with the beast illustrates our entire work and calling. We must overcome evil with good. And that’s a journey that God will take us on and God will do the overcoming. But that’s where we are.

Now this group, dear God, do you get it, this group has been given the secret of overcoming. Do you remember when the Lord said, “This is your ministry.” Do you remember? This is not mine. This is our ministry. And our ministry is together.

We’ve told you the story of the man who came and visited and said, “Our group doesn’t have what your group has. Your group has love and we don’t have love.” He could see it just by being here at dinner. And that is our unique thing. We are about love.

Psalm 138:7-8 TPT
By your mighty power I can walk through any devastation, and you will keep me alive, reviving me. Your power set me free from the hatred of my enemies. You keep every promise you’ve ever made to me! Since your love for me is constant and endless, I ask you, Lord, to finish every good thing that you’ve begun in me!

That is a life-saving word right there that one card. That’s going to be our motto. It’s going to be very difficult.

I sent word back that we were under siege. It was terrible. And when I got back Joan said, “You know what? We’re all a body because we were all struggling that week. We were all under attack that week because we are one.” That’s what I want you to hear. We are one. He has put us together sovereignly. He’s taken people in and taken them out. He’s done all kinds of things for the last fifty years that I’ve walked with Him. But He has put us in this hour with this message. We have this unique message that Satan is utterly defeated, his plans are destroyed, he has no weapons, no power, no authority. We have all the authority. Would you say that’s unique a revelation? Do you believe it from what you read? Ok! It’s fantastic, it’s like everything God has planned for us is too fantastic. It’s beyond belief. It’s beyond our dreams, even. It’s says:

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man…

We can’t even imagine all the things God has planned for us. I didn’t plan for y’all to be here but I always longed for you to be and here you are. And it’s just an incredible story that we are living out. And I don’t want us to miss the essence of it which is oneness of heart and mind. Oneness! That’s why I give you cards so we’re all looking at the same scripture, hopefully.

So, the work that He gives us to do is not a work as we know works. How could we possibly build any kind of ministry of any kind. We can’t. Jesus said:

This is the work God asks of you that you believe in the One whom He has sent. That you cleave to, trust, rely in, have faith in His messenger, Jesus.

Ok, that’s what He asks, believe. Believe that first scripture I gave you which was that He has rendered Satan nought. Why do we see all the devastation of the devil? Because the church has failed to take hold of that one thing and He’s given it to us. Do you believe that? Is that true. Am I looney?

The reason I had John tell this story is that he’s laid down his life to be a servant. You all know that! But his life is at stake in the process, too. And now that I see the impact and the importance of what we’ve been given I know that we have a special protection. I know that we have an incredible fortress for us in our personal lives and in our lives together and in our marriages and in our widowhood. There’s a special individual provision and interest He has and I want you to seek it and ask for it. “Give me everything You’ve got! Give me everything I’m supposed to have for Your glory!”

You told a story. Can you tell the cathedral story?

Joan:
There is an old story set in the middle ages during the construction of the great European cathedrals. A nobleman was walking among the workers asking about their labors. The stonemason explained the care involved in raising a plum wall. The glassworker pointed out the details of a leaded glass window. The carpenter spoke about the wooden frame which provided the support for the whole building. Finally, the nobleman spotted a peasant woman with a broom and a bucket going around cleaning up trash. He asked her what she was doing. She replied, “I’m building a cathedral for the glory of God.”

Martha:
That’s what we are doing. And that elevates it to a very important place because it’s for the glory of the Son of God. And when we stand before Him, we will say, “It was worth it and more!”

It’s Psalm 46:1-3. It’s become my promise and our promise and we’ll live by it, ok?

And this is our mandate for the ministry that Sue found for us many years ago.

Then as scorner is defeated, we Your people, the sheep…

We’re the sheep of Your pasture.

of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; we will show forth and publish Your praise from generation to generation.
Psalm 79:13

That is our mission. Sue got it when we first began and she and Bill were so gracious to help us get started. But that’s the verse she gave us and it has lasted with us for some thirty years; twenty-five at least.

The Lord gave me a verse this morning. It popped up in my face and I knew it was profound.

I Corinthians 15:33 AMPC
Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

God’s Word
Don’t let anyone deceive you. Associating with bad people will ruin decent people.

And it goes on and on with different translations.

I Corinthians 15:33
In essence it says don’t be deceived. Don’t be stupid. Your companions, the people you live with. Evil companionships, associations corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. So, don’t let anyone deceive you. We are affected by who is with us.

someone said the following to me years and years ago …..

“if the babe in your womb does not leap when you are with the people who surround you,
you are surrounded by the wrong people.”

I believe you are surrounded well …..

    1. John says:

I think you are right, and you are part of the surrounding. Family indeed! Love you Andrea!
