Everything is Found in the Kingdom
Podcast #742
02/21/2021

With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow

This is a continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #739
We want to belong to another Kingdom to get through this time. Truly the Adventure is in the Kingdom.

John:
This whole thing has been a crisis of faith.

Martha:
mm hmm

John:
And I think that it’s been ordained for the building of faith.

Martha:
Faith only comes when it’s tested.

John:
And it’s being tested.

Martha:
mm hmm

John:
We’re, our faith is being tested.

Martha:
And the question is who’s God, is it the President?

John:
Right

Martha:
Is it China who’s God?

John:
Right, right

Martha:
It’s all, all … who is God is in question. Even to us.

John:
Yes.

Martha:
And it depends on how, what you know about that, as to how you will live and survive and be, and be what we’re supposed to be. Does that make any sense? Ok. It’s an adventure, y’all.

John:
Yes.

Martha:
And we’re gonna have everything to, to, things we can’t imagine, God’s gonna give us. Things we can’t imagine He’s going to give us if we are citizens of the Kingdom. Cause that’s, it’s all these things – and that includes vast storehouses of all spiritual blessings in heavenly places have been given to us and we don’t have, don’t even have a smidgen.

John:
All things will be added unto you. Everything you need. I will give you everything you need.

Martha:
And more.

John:
Right?!

Martha:
And we don’t even know what we need, see?

John:
Exactly.

Martha:
So, but He will give it anyway if we are under, and it’s all a matter of only, only, only, only, only of surrender to His will, no matter what, and that’s why endurance is such an important word now.

Because endurance stays with God when you don’t like what He’s doing. Endurance suffers. Without, we will not, you cannot have the Kingdom without dying. You can’t overcome the enemy without being willing to die. And that’s what we Americans don’t have. We don’t have the Cross as our personal dying. We won’t die for the will of God. We won’t die to our rights, when, and it’s, I’ve been brooding on the fact that it’s all about, it’s military. The whole Bible is military. And what that means is then, we are only soldiers, and I’m, I’m beginning to see that not only is there a war, we have to become soldiers to do that, to take on that war. And, am I digressing too far?

But I realize so deeply that if we’re gonna be in, in warfare, which we are in deeply right now. And this nation is under a spiritual war. We’re gonna have to be soldiers. And soldiers have no rights whatsoever. You have to live where the General says live. You have to go where the General says go. Everything for a soldier is absolute surrender of every right and every independence and everything. That’s what we have to become with God. We have to be soldiers who don’t have a life. OK? And we’re spoiled. You’re right, Jean, we’re spoiled, or did you say that? (laughing) But we are.

We’ve enjoyed the luxury of a Christian nation and the safety of a Christian nation. But that’s not the same as the Kingdom. And we want to belong to another Kingdom to get through this time. It’s just a great, The Adventure. The Adventure is in the Kingdom. The fulfillment, everything is in the Kingdom. But a King is a dictator.

We won’t be voting in the Kingdom. We don’t vote. We can’t vote right now. That’s the, isn’t that funny that that’s the issue. That the vote was taken. And that’s what you give God is your vote. You don’t have a vote with God. You have only His will and only obedience to respond to His will.

John:
Wow, that’s awesome, that, that literally it is the issue was put on the line.

Martha:
Isn’t that amazing?

John:
That’s phenomenal. Gol-ly. I mean really. Sure enough.

Martha:
I need to put that in the book, don’t I ?

John:
You do need to put that in the book.

Martha:
But that’s what, that’s what we, we soft people, we won’t die for Him.

John:
mmmm

Martha:
And the criterion of overcoming the devil is, one of them is, to be willing to die. And the scripture also says we die daily because we die to our will, for His will. The soldier, the soldiers, oh the picture of the soldiers in the Capitol, sleeping on the floor. There is the picture of the solder.

John:
Jesus!

Martha:
You have to be where you don’t want to be.

John:
Well, and then they threw them into the…

Martha:
And then they threw them into the garage. No doubt freezing cold.

John:
It was, thirty degrees at night and below.

Martha:
Really, thirty degrees?

John:
mm hmmm

Martha:
Oh my. So, well, that’s, I believe that that’s the core of what, of what we are seeing. God is taking away from us what we cherish as our right – to say no to Him or yes to Him. We think we have a choice. And that’s not Christianity.

Christianity is a soldier, having given up everything – address, job. Every, everything in your life you have to turn over to Him. And the only victory now for us is going to be to surrender to the King whatever He commissions.

John:
So I want to bring in the Kingdom.

Martha:
To me it’s the one most poignant thing of the Lord’s prayer. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven.”

John:
That’s not,

Martha:
Wow

John:
that’s not about the vote. (laughs)

Martha:
No, it isn’t. That’s true. The life of the solder has no “No” in him. He has no right to say no. He has no desire to say no, and lives that way, fully willing. Move at any moment, and get on the plane and go to DC.

John:
Right.

Martha:
Be ready to go. That mentality is what I’m on right now with a lot of excitement. And we’re, we have been entangled with the world. That’s what Paul said to Peter, be a good soldier. No soldier involves himself in the affairs, entangles himself in the affairs of the world. And he gave me a very military thing many years ago if I can recount it. It’s gonna be in the book.

I am not involved in any human pursuit. It has no reality.
I am not involved in any human conflict. It has no reality.
I am not involved with any entanglement, human entanglement.
That has no reality.
I am involved only with Jesus Christ. He is the Only Reality.

And that was my mandate as a soldier. That’s a soldier commitment. That’s what you sign up for. And remember, many years ago Don had every, Don came in and said we’re gonna join, sign up, and join Martha’s army. And he had us sign a piece of paper. Somebody’s got it. Somewhere. that, Uh huh. And we all had to sign the paper. And then he kept it. I don’t know what happened to it after that. And I used to say, why would you say Martha’s army? I’m, I’d be the least captain I could possibly imagine. You’d want this, little, to be a General, oh that doesn’t make any sense.

But what is it? Milton. They won with the incredible power of meekness. They conquered darkness by the power of weakness. Paradise Lost. They shook the power of darkness with the irresistible power of meekness, is that right? Weakness. Weakness! And that’s the, that’s the army of the Lamb. We have to be as vulnerable as a lamb. And the power is in vulnerability.

Born for this. What a statement. Yeah, it says so in the scripture. You’ve been elected, chosen, we’ve been conscripted. An army’s not something you normally volunteer to go into. You are drafted. And one of, my first chapter is Born Conscripted. If you’re a born again Christian you’re in the war and in the army. I think it’s too bad that children, we used to play army in, all the time, (laughs) not thinking anything about it.

And the final issue is, the Lord of Hosts is with us. And He will accomplish it, in all of us.

Joan:
This is 2 Corinthians 3:8 in the Amplified, Why should not the dispensation of the Spirit, the spiritual ministry whose task it is to cause men to obtain and be governed by the Holy Spirit, be attended with much greater and more splendid glory?

As John’s been talking about the Kingdom and the glory, it’s the government of the Spirit, that is, seeking the Kingdom is seeking the government of the King. And I feel like that’s gonna be crucial.

Simple clarity: “You don’t have a vote with God.” I haven’t recovered from Martha’s “we’ve been running the Holy Spirit”! We aren’t in charge of the timing, way, where or what. We dare not let life tumble in on us. GOD has a view & purpose, & we desperately need Him to be the One Who interprets everything before us. Faith is active to His purpose. ‘Let’, is only Let God. He determines the purposed path, of our prayer, seeing, ‘sent’, & passion. It may be a small detail, look like a detour, or be so expansive we can’t take it in..but..i find in giving my recognition that He knows what’s needed in anything & everything..& endurance is there..& more! We’re set free into the adventure with Him! We find our place in His Will & movement. Nothing else will satisfy a soldier with “no desire to say no”! A soldier is IN all the way. That’s what we see in the True Battle, Given & Won, in Christ! It’s a trench battle, a reconisance mission not fooled, it’s an ‘aim’ the Lord eyes for an arrow, each part orchestrated by God. It gets under, is spread over, it gather’s exactly what’s needed. Ordinary believers of every age, did what they couldn’t, HE could…sang in battle, gave true testimony, laid down their lives daily & finally, not as dragged anywhere…in the passion of the Spirit, they ran into His arms. They knew to Whom they belonged. Thank you Joan…yes, governed by the Spirit!
