Episode #805
5/8/2022

With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow
With special guest: Gene Spears, Joan Wentzel, Ladonna Spears

This is a continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #802
When you hear a message from God, it has come from heaven.

Martha:
The thing that God wants above all, I’m reading T. Austin Sparks, for the End Time God wants a church. What we are is the very thing God wants to pour Himself into and many prophets back eons ago have said that the End Time issue is going to be the small church, the home church. That’s where God is going to move the most. And I want that power to hit us and to be, I want us to be all that He wants us to be. And it amounts to receiving all the magnificent gifts He has given.

I reading J.B. Stoney. He was eons ago probably in the thirties and forties of the last century. But he’s got such an experiential life with God and he considers…I was reading and he was saying that he was listening to heaven and things were coming to him from heaven. I said, “Oh, I want that.” And Joan said, “You have that. When you hear a message from God, it has come from heaven.”

We are in touch with God in the heavens. We are there. I can’t imagine we are seated with Him now. It says so. So, I am going to start just believing that. It doesn’t make any sense but there is a life level in the Spirit realm that I don’t know about and that has touched me but not, I don’t have control over of that. It’s actually what Art Katz is talking about in his book on the apostle. It’s what comes down, what is sent from heaven; the unction of the Spirit has come from heaven.

So, if you have ever had the Spirit move you or be with you or help you on any ground, you’ve been in touch with heaven. Thank you, Joan. You put heaven right down here which is where it is in the form of the church. This is supposed to be a heavenly kingdom body. I think we’re not doing too bad. I really think we’re doing well.

I’m considering meeting twice a week. One is to pray, to listen. You come here and hear me and I want to hear you. And you came in today beautifully. That’s what I want. But I know if we ask for the glory, if we ask for the presence of Christ, we will get it, we will have it. In our diminishing ourselves with these titles we have cut off from God the miraculous stupendous things He would do with us because we don’t think enough of our self to open the door to Him.

I read this article and it’s very simple. It’s by Spurgeon. He said, “Behold I knock at the door. If any man opens to door, I will come in to him and sup with him and he with Me.” He said, “Have you opened the door to the Master?!” I went, “I don’t know but I do it right now. I open the door to You. Come in!” And he said, “Jesus won’t come in unless you open the door.” Then when He comes in, He has the banquet; He has the supply. All He asks of you is come in and sit down with Him. I highly recommend having a day if you can do it just a day with Him.

The Sabbath is not necessarily a legal thing but the rest is crucial to give Him time. I have the luxury to do it here but I would love for us to commit to a day with the Lord.

A missionary on the mission field said he was sick for the exact number of days that he didn’t go into Sabbath rest. And so, he crashed as a missionary because he didn’t rest. I think we Americans are the worst at rest. We don’t believe that you can rest and be human.

John:
But, there again is focus.

Joan:
Are even should rest….

John:
Should rest! Yea, sure enough. But there’s focus. If your focus is Him, you will take that time; you will stop. But if your focus is getting done or focus on you or focus on stuff; it’s focus.

Martha:
I can sit in this room for twenty-four hours and not a thing happen…that I see.

John:
Right.

Martha:
But I’m just waiting for His word and I’m not here twenty-four hours.

John:
Feels like it though.

Martha:
It’s boring for the most part. It’s just nothing. But I know that He is at work within me in ways that I…The Bible says so. He works within you to produce what He wants. I pray that that will be possible in one form or another.

The things that we are going to throw down are loads and heaviness and things that distract.

John:
Heavy burdens.

Martha:
Heavy burdens. And John is trying to help me, to help us all.

John:
Throw off the heavy burdens. They are just awful.

Martha:
Yes. I am use to them and you have helped me identify what they are.

He restricts us to enlarge us and force us to take on what we do. I had many precious Christians friends through interior design business…

John:
Triggers have nothing to do with logic and…

Martha:
And reality.

John:
And reality. It’s your reality.

Martha:
Thank you.

John:
It’s not reality…

Martha:
Right.

John:
…necessarily. It can be.

Martha:
But John has helped me see what it is.

Gene:
We were driving to my dad’s house yesterday. I told Ladonna, “You know what weird is I always speak high of you, I love you and all this but yet I look at myself like I am just this piece of junk, unworthy, can’t do anything right. And then I think, ‘How can I think way about her? Why would she hook her saddle to me?’” You know what I’, saying?

John:
Sure enough.

Gene:
If I’m this awful, then how can I think she’s that great? It’s kind of put it all in perspective. It is a lie; it’s a BIG lie. I just thought I would throw that out.

John:
We did, we threw down the shame. It’s done. We didn’t do the stand up what we were going.

Joan:
Martha stood for us?

John:
I think so. Yes, I agree to that.

Joan:
She was the pioneer?

John:
She was. She got up.

Joan:
She got right up.

Gene:
She did get up, yes.

Martha:
I remember. It was about me, too.

Ladonna:
I told Gene that I felt like I needed to write down the things and look at them and burn them.

Martha:
That’s great.

Ladonna:
Then I can say, “Yes, those things are not true.

Martha:
That’s brilliant.

Ladonna:
Have I done that? No! But I am thinking about it.

Martha:
I did it years and years and years ago. And I’ve had people that I’ve worked with make a list. Thank you for bringing that up because that’s great just to have a ceremony where you put it to an end visibly; it does something for your soul. And I didn’t even think to mention that.

John:
It’s super powerful just to write it, burn it, and leave it.

Martha:
Yes. Thank you, that’s great. I’m sure I could fill a notebook.

Focus, Rest for Heaven to Come – Episode #80 – Shulamite Ministries

If your focus is on Him, you’ll take that time and rest; you will stop. But if your focus is getting things done or you or stuff it’s hard to see heaven.
