Hell Is Real, and We Can Choose It
Episode #687
01/12/2020
With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow
This the continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #685
Hell is real, VERY real. And as hard as it is for us to comprehend, we have the freedom to choose to go to hell. We can refuse salvation and choose hell!
Martha:
To see this is to produce the fear of the Lord in us. And we can deal with that and then we know that that’s the real crisis.
When I came at this certain situation, I knew the crisis was, they’re going to hell. And that… Nothing else matters. Anything else… It, it didn’t matter if I’d lost an arm, if somebody cut off. That wouldn’t matter compared to someone going to hell for eternity. And the… Because we have this world of internet and we can see things that are films put up and hear testimonies, God is in these End Times. He is giving us the information and the credible witnesses that are telling the truth and you can sense it, that they’re telling— They’re not making it up. There are a lot of things, the la-la-la land things that are being made up these days. But these testimonies are real.
John:
They resonate with your spirit.
Martha:
Yes, it bears witness to my spirit. And so, it’s, it’s a tool to keep us from having to experience hell ourselves and then to know that that is the ultimate crisis to get right with God ultimately, totally. And it’s possible for that. No, no matter… some of the worst people in the world get reconciled to God.
John:
Ok, I’ve got a question for you. Have you prayed for anybody to be hung over hell who was hung over hell but didn’t come through?
Martha:
Yes.
John:
See, that’s frightening.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
Do you know why? Do you know what it was? I mean, not getting specific because it’s an individual or multiple individuals but, do, do you know?
Martha:
The core issue, John, and I’m writing about this for the book on the Bride, the core issue is leaving God. And we can leave God after an experience of knowing Him. We can be hurt with Him or choose something; choose the world or choose an idolatry and we can leave Him at any time. We’re, we’re that free. We live in a spiritual realm of absolute freedom of choice and it can be very subtle and very seductive of the enemy. So it’s really… That’s about the best I can describe that it’s not… It’s that you leave God. And we know when we’re distant from God. That, that’s one thing we do know. But the ultimate sin… All sin comes from leaving God and rejecting God. We may get mad at Him for things He allows in our life. But most, most of the time, people who have that experience are never the same again. And they never get over it.
John:
Jennifer hasn’t gotten over it. I haven’t gotten over it, and I know several other people that have not gotten over it. And, you know, speaking of free will, I just wrote a post about free will and about His honoring of us. Because He gives us that and He honors that place as holy. Our free will choice is holy to Him because it was a gift He gave us to choose Him but He, He honors that place…
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
…so that we can choose anything we want.
Martha:
And that is the ultimate love.
John:
That’s, that is, absolutely.
Martha:
We don’t get it, that it’s love. But that’s what it is. Love gives freedom. And when the Lord said, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” He gives you that Himself. That’s who He is. He forgave me. He forgave the people who murdered Him. As they killed Him He forgave them. And that power lives within us, too. But I love the fear of God…now. I want the fear of God. It keeps me in the right perspective of who He is. He is really a frightening, awesome, terrifying God. He is a consuming fire. He is a… He is who He says He is in the Bible. And thank God He is. Thank God, thank God He is God.
John:
Absolutely.
Martha:
He is over everything and He can really… He can frighten us into His arms.
John:
Right, exactly. Yeah. Which is beautiful. And that He’s willing to do it.
Martha:
Oh, that He pursues us to that degree is incredible. Oh, I would step on us and walk away.
John:
Sure enough.
Martha:
Oh, bless Him, bless Him.
John:
His passion to pursue us is that great. To, to, you know, number one, give us free will but then also show us the consequences.
Martha:
Right, right. And it’s thinking about the scriptures on the judgment of God coming. That’s very real, too. The judgment of God falls on people who don’t repent and don’t deal with it. But the judgment is redemptive.
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
It’s always redemptive. It’s to cause you to come back to Him. And it… Those things are phenomenal because He is God. He stoops to serve us and pursue us and enable us and show us. He is just so merciful and compassionate. He knows we’re dust.
John:
He does, absolutely. But I think this is a good, this is a good reminder, you know, just to know that He ain’t my buddy; that He’s God.
Martha:
Right, right. And we do diminish Him.
John:
Um hmm.
Martha:
Even as Father.
John:
Sure. That’s human.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
But this puts a big exclamation point on the whole thing that you go, “Ooooo, ow!”
Martha:
Well, it’s, it’s a good reminder. And it’s eye-opening. It really is. Descriptions are just… That’s fair of God. He’s giving us… In his day Jonathan Edwards was the one that taught the fear of God…
John:
Right.
Martha:
…and it used to be in the pulpit.
John:
Um hmm.
Martha:
But this is a gift to the End Time, to be able to hear such piercing…
John:
Because it’s reality.
Martha:
…possibilities. Yes, it’s real.
John:
It’s not a legend. It’s not a, a, you know, a fairy tale or a myth.
Martha:
Um hmm.
John:
It’s reality.
Martha:
It’s real. Heaven is for real and hell is for real. Both, both those testimonies are coming out and many witnesses.
John:
Time is short.
Martha:
Time is short. Just one more thing that I, I did want to share. The man who, the last one I talked about, From Hell to Heaven and Life-changing Faith… One million, seven hundred thousand people have seen that testimony; one million…
John:
Wow.
Martha:
…seven hundred thousand.
John:
Wow, wow, wow. That’s a lot.
Martha:
That means it’s getting out there.
John:
The message is getting out there.
Martha:
Yes.
John:
Sure.
