Kindle Books, Prayer Needs, and a Heart for Fruit
Episode #622
11-4-2018
With Martha Kilpatrick and hosted by John Enslow
This is the continuation of a series of Podcasts started in Episode #621.
Having just published John Enslow’s Where Are You, God? on Kindle, the Shulamites’ prayer needs for upcoming books and ongoing fruit have never been higher.
Martha:
We have a new recent addition to our books and that is John’s. Where Are You, God? is the title of his testimony and I’ve richly endorsed it. And my own experience of it is just to weep over it and I wrote a small introduction to the book about John, too. And you will find it… Tell us where we can get it, John.
John:
It’s a, it’s a Kindle only book right now and you can get it, Where Are You, God?, at Amazon, on Kindle and, you know, I’ve always said this but it can be said again. You can read Kindle on any device and, you know, basically your Mac, Your PC, your, your iPhone, your android phone, any kind of device. They’re trying to make—or Kindle device. They’re trying to make all their content accessible to everyone. So if you have a device it’s probably got a Kindle app that you can read these books. And it’s only 99 cents.
And it’s… I’ve gotten a bunch of feedback on it and people are really loving it. And I’ve said – and I don’t do this with pride or arrogance about this – I believe it’s the best autobiography/biography I’ve ever read. I do believe it’s the best because, and I can say that will all honesty and I can say that with humility, because it’s not about me.
Martha:
And that’s the wonder of it. But this book presents a hunger for God in a way that I have never read about. And it has caused me to bow down and ask for the hunger to experience God that you had in your life because He is, He met that hunger. He met that cry of your heart to— I want so much, because the Scripture is full of it, to experience the love of God, to experience the person of God. If you’ve got an experience of God, you, that can’t be taken from you. And that’s what you’re demonstrating. It’s what you’re… You’re laying out a pathway to the experience of God and it leaves you so hungry for an unusual encounter because God is so huge. He gave you such huge, outlandish, unusual experiences with Him. He appeared in places that are totally unique.
John:
And I believe He wants to do that with everybody and every…
Martha:
I do too, John.
John:
Yeah.
Martha:
And I long for it for everybody.
John:
And really, you know, I look at it and I say the passion I had and the desire I had wasn’t mine. Really! It was given to me but it wasn’t mine. I, I… It’s not like I, I was a prodigy or anything like that. I literally was given something to give back to God. And I think all of us have that.
Martha:
But you didn’t know it for decades.
John:
No and that’s why Where Are You, God. There was a whole bunch of “Where are You, God?”
Martha:
Yeah, but He was there in ways that you didn’t, you couldn’t see and couldn’t respond to and couldn’t appreciate. But then when He puts it all together and He begins to move in your life, it is one of the most phenomenal testimonies that I’ve ever heard, truly. So it’s, it’s a joy for us to get it out there and put it in such an accessible, available form. It’s worth far more than 99 cents I can tell you (laughs). I wish I could give it out copies just on paper. But we’re every excited about this and other people are amazed by it, John, aren’t they?
John:
They really are.
Martha:
And we don’t get into it much but the response has been incredible. Many people have said they wept over it.
John:
And between that and the, the Overcoming Fear that came out… And then, and then Jennifer is currently working on Overcoming Self-Hatred, which is absolutely an awesome booklet. We’re, I’m hoping that she’s gonna be doing the whole Overcoming series and we’ve just got so much coming out and so much gonna be released and we, we need, we need prayer. We need… And I do want to say, that we asked for prayer and people did respond. I’ve got a number of people that responded and said, “Please put me on your prayer list.” I’m asking for more. I really… We need a base, an army base of those that are praying to see these messages get into the hands of, of people. And I want them connected to the people that are hungry, open, and ready to receive them. You know, that’s, that’s been my, my cry for this whole thing.
So thank you for those that have responded and if you haven’t responded, and you would like to be put on the updates where I’m, I’m literally writing letters and notes and updating people on what’s going on. I would like to do it more. I would like this, you know, have it be a little personal, too. We’re saying, “Hey, you know, we’re struggling with this,” and, and, you know, and receive the words and receive the scriptures that are coming back. You know, this, this place is a place of really great, great fruit. The Lord is got fruit and we need, we need help. We need help.
Martha:
And we have them. We have the help. When, some years ago when I knew I was supposed to speak about the Lamb of God, I wrote a number of people and asked that they be committed to fast and pray for me while I was writing it. I think it was some forty-five answered. And what they did was phenomenal. They did the Daniel fast of three weeks with vegetables only. And the phenomena that happened was the appearance of the Lamb to me in my hotel room. And then the conference came of that. And some day there’ll be a book of that story.
And I’m going to be, I’m heading toward writing The Bride is Ready, which is all the scriptural pictures of the readiness of the Bride. And I’m getting well enough now, and my health is improving drastically and so I’m gonna be ready to start on that soon. I hope at least in November is when we’re going?
John:
Yeah, yeah we’re looking to do a trip in November and you’re going to be writing that and I’m going to be writing the exchanged life book.
Martha:
So we’re just anxious to get these things out to you because we, we live with them and we share them. And we, we know that God is using and giving these subjects; He’s giving these. I don’t have any hesitation to say that God has called us to publish, to write and publish His testimony in the end days and, and He is doing it for us, through us, and in us. So…
John:
So go back to the things that Dick Eastman was telling. You gave… The first one was the…
Martha:
The workers.
John:
…to pray for the workers. The second was to have the open doors. What was the third and the fourth?
Martha:
The third one is fruit. And I’ve got from Billy Graham’s ministry and Dick Eastman’s ministry, I got such a hunger to give fruit to the Lord, for there to be fruit born. And so that’s the third prayer is that there would be fruit.
The fourth one is provision; that we’d have, that we would have the financial, practical provision. Right now we need a storage place for books real, really bad. My basement has served as the storage area and is about to be full of books that we carry on LivingChristianBooks.com. We carry wonderful books. I walked through the office looking at the titles and I’m just amazed what rich books. I’m reading a couple of things by Andrew Murray right now. One of them is The Spirit of Christ. The other… They are little booklets you can carry with you. And the, the other one is Waiting on God. And it… One of the things it says there is, “The essence of faith is waiting on God.”
John:
Waiting on God is such a deep, deep well. A deep, deep, deep well.
Martha:
It really is. And it’s been my call for the last couple of months to wait on the Lord and you’ll mount up with wings of an eagle and you’ll run and not be weary, and you’ll walk and not stumble. So I’m, I’m really into Waiting on God, and doing it myself. There is no wasted time that waits on the Lord.
Kindle Books, Prayer Needs, and a Heart for Fruit – Episode #622 – Shulamite Podcast
Having just published John Enslow’s Where Are You, God? on Kindle, the Shulamites’ prayer needs for upcoming books and ongoing fruit have never been higher. This is an intense and exciting time for the ministry and the outpouring of prayers and love is amazing!
God amazes with His work that comes through Shulamite. That includes “Where Are You, God”–what you’ve written, John, is something to feed from for a long time. Thank you, we know it is a product of God’s love. Regarding waiting on God–as you said, it’s a deep, deep, deep well. To mix metaphors, this area seems to be a tip of an iceberg for this time. I’m struck by all the time of waiting on God the disciples were called to from Gethsemane onward, and that seems significant for all Shulamite has before it, as well as for these last days. Love, prayer, and blessing to you all.
Thank you Douglas, I pray “Where are You, God?” is a rich blessing to you and your life. You’re so right, the waiting is deeply significant as He unfolds a revelation of Himself. We love you very much and thank you for your encouragement.
