We Need Power and Power Comes

This is a continuation of a series of podcasts started in Episode #802
The power comes from the Holy Spirit and that’s what we are seeing.
Ladonna:
When Joan said that she wanted to live not looking as things as they are it reminded me of something the Lord gave me earlier this week and it was in all this throwing down labels and not looking at ourselves, not looking at myself the way I’ve always looked at myself. It’s 2 Corinthians 10:3-7 NASB “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful (Note NASB Mighty before God) for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ…
I would say what He says about me….
vs. 6-7…and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete. You are looking at things as they are outwardly.”
And that is my correction. Instead of defining myself by what is said of me or what concoctions I’ve come up with in my own head is taking those thoughts captive to what Christ says about me and not even looking at other people outwardly but not even looking at me outwardly.
Martha:
Thank you. That’s the secret to glowing. That’s what it is it’s glowing.
The glory is when He’s present and you’re conscious of His presence. That’s what glory is. Since the Lord began our relationship (Martha and John) under the glory and it was His favor and His anointing that He gave us to be together, you and me that was how we began surrendering to Him and I want this group to have the glory that is our inheritance.
The glory is His presence and you know it’s Him. It’s like when the Lamb came in the room. I told the story of the Lamb coming in the room and filling the room and there was no mistaking it was the Lamb. I know that that would be something to puzzle about. I could see Him by my heart and not by my eyes. The eyes of the heart is the spiritual realm. The Bible talks about the eyes of the heart. That’s the spiritual seeing and it’s ours. I want to claim it.
It’s like at the lunch table in NYC Jesus was there and you (John) knew it but all of NY couldn’t see. There is a seeing. I couldn’t have described Him to you. I just knew He was overwhelmingly huge and powerful and scary because the end of all things is going to be the wrath of the Lamb which I don’t even understand.
Nevertheless when she (Joan) talks about I have a vision for you it’s usually in my heart. Sometimes it’s a picture. But it’s much simpler than we think to know the mind of God. If you are interested in being focused on Him, He will meet you and reveal Himself and maybe only you can see.
The next time the Lamb appeared it was a different emphasis but it was the same thing. I could only fall to the floor under the presence but I couldn’t see a thing. You could take me to the looney farm if you doubt that we can see into the Spirit. We’re spiritual beings especially born again.
One of the things that’s so incredible He’s going to do is He’s going to give us all a brand new body instantly when He comes into this realm to get His bride. Instantly we will be transformed with an entirely differently body. It’s going to be a body like Jesus’ that had no limits and has no humanity to it. But it’s going to be a physical body to live in.
John:
I wonder if you connect with that body by focus as well. If you’re not focused on Him…
Martha:
Joan knows that one…
John:
She does!
Martha:
She told me that they see Christ. What did you tell me?
Joan:
The first time I was ever invited to go hear Martha speak…I was frankly done with going to hear people speak and saying that they were God. (yada yada) As was pretty cynical by then. When Martha spoke, I saw God. I knew it was Him. I had been looking for Him my whole life and I saw Him. I can’t tell you any particulars. I just know it was Him.
And so, I understand about the Genesis Clinic because you don’t have to be born again but if you’re looking for Jesus, you will see Him where He is; if you are looking for Him and you really want to know the true God. By then I just wanted to know God as He really is. I couldn’t tell you anything of the message. I don’t know what it was. I was captured to Christ at that time.
Martha:
That is the power of God. That’s what He gives you. That’s the power of God. And that’s what the church doesn’t ask for because we can talk and we can preach and we can sing. But we need is the power. “Stay in Jerusalem until the power comes on you.” The power comes from the Holy Spirit and that’s also what I’m seeing in this clinic. It’s the power of God at work. I’m just there with Jesus. And I’m not asking for the things He’s doing and I don’t need to because the power of the Spirit is there.
I started to tell y’all about the Ten Virgins. I can tell you now you’ll understand. What I saw about the Virgins is five had oil and five didn’t have oil. And the crisis became, “You’ve got the oil and I want your oil. I don’t have oil and He’s about to come.” I realized the problem was not about oil. The problem was about light. God want is to be a light. He says, “You are a light in the world!”
When you go down to Dallas, Georgia you are a light, Gene. We’ve known that a long time. That’s why we prayed you up here; you and this gal; this gorgeous gal (Ladonna). We wanted you here not for any other reason except I’ve heard about what kind of man you were to those boys. I’ve been hearing about that for years; how good you were to them. We knew who you were.
I’m getting off the subject. The subject is power. I don’t think you can ask for power if you’re not single minded. What’s happening that I’m seeing is power is happening apart from me and yet not apart from me. Where the Holy Spirit is present, there’s going to be the power of God doing things that I can’t make happen. I’m not trying to make anything happen there. I’m interested in my own health as well.
I’ve been praying for power for a long time because I suffer from weakness which you all know and observe. I’m started being done with weakness and being interested in power. The Believers in the first century had power galore. And Jesus said, “Wait until the power falls on you.” Well, that’s what’s happening in this clinic. Power is happening and I’m just there. And it’s happening apart from me in spite of me and because of me maybe. Joan understands because of her experience and she’s helped me understand that Christ will make Himself known.
That’s what’s happening with these guys. I want us to be in prayer for the two that are coming; Heath and Steven. So, God is putting something together around your (John) life and your focus on Jesus.
We Need Power and Power Comes – Episode #803 – Shulamite Podcast
The power of God is what He gives you. Power comes and that’s what the church doesn’t ask for. We can talk, preach and sing. But we need power.
“There with Jesus.” God’s appointments…He puts us in the place of His revealing…to be seen & known as the God He is. He gives His message into our hearts & lives. We taste the need to see the glory. Oh, how I wanted to effect change, & could not…He is the Cure of our “I can do nothing”…HE Answers…the question HE asks…in hearts & lives, surroundings & situations. What do you SEE? HE. In the power of the Spirit, we Live the language of the Son. Our focus is to see Him & let Him be Who HE IS, AS HIS. “The glory is when He’s present & you’re conscious of His presence.” “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], & He is the perfect imprint & very image of [God’s] nature, upholding & maintaining & guiding & propelling the universe by His mighty word & power..” (Heb.1:3) His mighty word & power in us, light shining.
